This is a temporary 6-month contracted 1099 position with no benefits.
This is a remote role.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical/Business Analyst/Writer to support the GLA (Global Logistics Automation) and QLO (Quality Logistics Operations) teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting key documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), design documentation, and other technical/business documentation as required. This role will also involve supporting business analysis and workflow optimization tasks, assisting with script execution, and ensuring thorough workflow verification.
This role will require a unique combination of technical writing, business analysis, and process improvement skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Creation: Draft, edit, and maintain SOPs, design documentation, and other technical and business documentation for GLA and QLO teams.
Business/Workflow Analysis: Assist with business analysis tasks, documenting workflows and identifying areas for process improvement.
Workflow Verification: Support workflow execution and verification activities, ensuring that processes are carried out according to the established guidelines.
Script Execution Support: Assist with the execution of scripts for testing or process automation, ensuring they are aligned with business requirements and technical specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with GLA and QLO teams to gather necessary information, provide updates, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
Process Optimization: Provide recommendations for improving efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of workflows and documentation.
Quality Assurance: Participate in the testing and validation of scripts, workflows, and business processes to ensure they meet defined standards.
Communication: Act as a liaison between technical and business teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements, processes, and deliverables.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: 2-4 years in a technical/business analysis, technical writing, or similar role.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in drafting technical and business documentation (e.g., SOPs, design documents, user guides).
Excellent understanding of business analysis methodologies, including workflow design and process optimization.
Familiarity with scripting languages or basic knowledge of script execution and testing.
Solid understanding of the logistics or supply chain industry (preferred but not required).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel; familiarity with project management and documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in an understandable manner.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and drive process improvements.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with the ability to track multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with workflow management systems or process automation tools.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
