This is a temporary 6-month contracted 1099 position with no benefits.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Material Handler I will be responsible for receiving, movement, handling, and accounting of raw materials, Work-in-Process, and Finished Goods. This position will involve the physical handling of materials as well as maintenance of accurate records within a cGMP environment. This individual operates in accordance with policies and procedures, environmental, health, safety, and cGMP guidelines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These may include but are not limited to:
  • Receiving, check and verification of incoming shipments.
  • Movement and storage of materials in the appropriate storage locations
  • Assists with maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure established safety requirements are maintained.
  • Use of pallet jacks and forklift to move materials.
  • Proper packaging and shipment of outbound materials
  • Responsible for the accurate entry of data related to receiving, inventory control, movement, and shipping of materials.
  • Perform cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained. Investigates and reports any inventory discrepancies.
  • Performs all job duties in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
 
  • A minimum of one to three years of warehousing and inventory control experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated operation strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries preferred.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
 
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to work safely and responsibly in a Warehouse area.
  • Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities, as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
