This is a full-time w-2 role within MEDVACON.

 

MEDVACON LIFE SCIENCES, LLC is searching for a Life Sciences Recruiter to join our team. This recruiter will specialize in sourcing, evaluating, and placing top talent within the life sciences industry, which includes sectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and healthcare. The ideal candidate will work closely with hiring managers and clients to understand their specific needs, create targeted recruitment strategies, and conduct comprehensive candidate interviews.

While this is a remote role, the ideal candidate will be local to the Philly/NJ/DE area for occasional in-person meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, and professional networks
  • Conduct initial candidate assessments for life sciences roles
  • Maintain relationships with universities, industry contacts, and professional organizations
  • Create and post accurate job advertisements
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews
  • Provide feedback to candidates and clients post-interview
  • Negotiate and extend job offers
  • Maintain a detailed candidate database
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements
  • Attend industry events and networking functions
  • Conduct reference checks and verify employment history
  • Support the onboarding process
  • Provide career advice and coaching to candidates
  • Track recruiting metrics
  • Develop recruiting strategies for the life sciences sector
  • Ensure compliance with hiring policies and procedures
  • Participate in team meetings regarding recruitment status and goals
  • Follow up with new hires and managers after the start date

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in recruitment, preferably within the life sciences industry
  • Proven ability to source and attract high-quality candidates
  • Strong understanding of life sciences roles and industry-specific qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates, clients, and industry contacts
  • Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience conducting interviews and assessing candidate qualifications
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and career coaching to candidates
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to track and report on recruitment metrics
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and across departments
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing hiring needs and priorities
